Mechanical Technician

Currently, we are seeking a Mechanical Technician to be based at our location in Thomaston, GA.
The Mechanical Technician will be responsible for installing, troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes.
Responsibilities Include:
Install and maintain production machines and the plant facility's equipment
Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment
Perform scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service
Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service
Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, run tests and make adjustments
Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties
Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to management
Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic machines
Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions
Associate Degree in Maintenance
Journeyman Maintenance or equivalent
3 years' experience in manufacturing maintenance; five years preferred
4+ years of manufacturing experience
Understanding of hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical and industrial skills with some PLC and HVAC experience
Ability to lift, carry, climb, push, pull, and stoop

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
