Middle Grades English/Language Arts Teacher

DESCRIPTION: Middle School English/Language Arts Teacher
QUALIFICATIONS: Education, Licenses, and/or Certificates ? A valid Georgia Teaching Certificate in assigned teaching field as required by the
Georgia Professional Standards Commission.
GOAL: Provide instruction, assess and encourage student progress, and manage the learning environment.
1. Teach at an appropriate instructional level. 2. Provide content development. 3. Assist all students in achieving academic standards and establishing high expectations for performance. 4. Promote student engagement and provide appropriate assessments. 5. Monitor student progress. 6. Respond to adequate and inadequate student performance. 7. Support students with encouragement. 8. Use time efficiently. 9. Maintain effective physical setting for instruction. 10. Maintain appropriate student behavior in the classroom. 11. Follow professional practices consistent with school and system policies in working with students, students' records, parents, and colleagues. 12. Ensure adherence to the Code of Ethics for Educators in Georgia, as established by the Georgia Professional Standards Commission. 13. Integrate the use of technology and multi-media in the curriculum. 14. Participate in training programs and apply learned concepts in the classroom to increase student learning. 15. Review current development literature and technical sources of information related to job responsibility. 16. Ensure adherence to appropriate safety procedures. 17. Follow federal and state laws, as well as Board policies and administrative directives. 18. Perform other duties as assigned.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
