TITLE: Groundsman APPLICATION PROCEDURE: Apply online QUALIFICATIONS: Education, Licenses and/or Certificates - Valid Georgia Driver's License and minimum of high school diploma or GED required. GOAL: Maintain attractive and safe grounds on and around all system properties. PERFORMANCE
RESPONSIBILITIES: 1 Operate tractors, lawnmowers, trimmers, and all other related tools and equipment pertinent to the position in an effective and safe manner. 2 Perform general maintenance and repair for all assigned tools and equipment. 3 Perform grounds maintenance as directed by Supervisor and Director of Operations keeping grass, shrubs, trees, ground cover, etc. neatly trimmed, maintained and free of liter, weeds, etc.. 4 Maintain walkways, parking areas, steps, and other outside areas of system property as appropriate and as directed. 5 Report any property damage or safety issues to Supervisor and/or Director of Operations. 6 Follow work schedule and attendance requirements in a regular and punctual manner. 7 Exhibit a cooperative attitude and demeanor at all times in dealing with school personnel, students, students, fellow employees, and the public. 8 Maintain any records as required for the position, in an effective and accurate manner. 9 Demonstrate initiative and assume responsibility for all aspects of job responsibilities, performing routine tasks with little or no direct supervision. 10 Participate in training programs to increase skills and proficiency related to the assignment. 11 Ensure adherence to appropriate safety procedures. 12 Follow federal and state laws, as well as School Board policies and administrative directives. 13 Perform other duties as assigned.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
